A little about me...
Thanks for stopping by. Two of my greatest passions are traveling and telling incredible stories. I love meeting new people and experiencing different cultures.
After growing up and attending university on the U.S. East Coast I took a leap of faith and moved to Hong Kong to pursue my graduate degree. I didn't know a soul when I arrived, but quickly fell in love with the city - the sights, the sounds, the smells (not all of them) and overall vibrancy of life there. It changed me at my core. I decided to stay, spending the next eight years working for CNN International in Hong Kong and traveling throughout Asia & Australasia in my free time.

A chunk of my heart remains on that side of the world and I'm always eager to get back whenever possible.
Following Hong Kong, I moved to Miami and started freelancing for some of the major U.S. network and cable outlets. The global pandemic, coupled with being a new mother, prompted my move back to Virginia to be closer to family, where I currently reside and continue to freelance.
I work with a variety of media companies (news and entertainment) and am always willing to travel, so please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd love to see how we can collaborate on the next great story!

Reporting/Presenting
More than a decade of experience working as a broadcast journalist, including stints anchoring and reporting. I thrive in breaking news situations and working under deadline pressure.
Shooting
Trained to shoot on a small Sony HDV Professional Video Camcorder, as well as DLSR cameras. I understand lighting, white balance, channel 1 & channel 2 audio, framing, the rule of thirds, the 180 degree line, and shooting sequences.
Writing/Editing
Write broadcast scripts, reporter packages, blogs, print and digital stories. I also have a keen eye for editing copy, but can edit video & audio, as well. I use Final Cut Pro, but am in the process of learning Adobe Premiere. I'm also proficient in posting to many forms of social media.
